If I lose weight will it change my singing voice?

I would like to get rid of some baby fat that doesn’t seem to want to go away, but I’m worried it could damage my singing voice. Will it lose power and/or get lower/higher?

I’m also worried because there are several theories that it is a women’s extra weight that stabilizes her voice. And the theory that it was maria callas weight lose that eventually destroyed her carrier! Help!

well vocal chords are a muscle, so if you lose weight, and still keep practicing on your singing, you will be working your vocal chords and that muscle will stay the same!

Cardio is your best answer. Doing sit-ups/crunches will strengthen your abs but if you want to make your waistline smaller then do cardio. (Jogging, running, jump rope, swimming, cycling — anything that will get your heart rate up. If you’re a beginner, 20 minutes, 3 times a week is good and then build from there.)

Go easy on salt, as too much salt is one of the causes of obesity. Make it a point to really cut down on salt. Try to bring down your salt intake to half of what it was last year. Change from table butter to cholesterol free butter. If you have a choice why not go for it, any way it is healthier for you and tastes just the same. First, let me say that I lost 60 lbs in less than a year following the advice Im going to tell you about, and I’ve kept it off for 5 years now.

The honest answer is that there aren’t natural healthy ways to lose large amounts of weight in a short time. "Real" results come from developing healthy habits that you can sustain for years and be happy. Crazy diets (like Cabbage Soup Diet or Grapefruit Diet) don’t work because nobody can live like that, and a big part of the weight loss comes from muscle loss, which means that when you inevitably get sick of the diet, you have less strength and energy for activity, which means you’re going to gain back the weight you lost, plus more weight.

Real results come from eating healthy and getting proper exercise and sleep. You know what you’ve always been told will make you healthy (exercise, veggies, etc).

HOWEVER, when someone isn’t living healthy, often a sudden change of lifestyle can trigger a sudden loss of extra weight, but after a week or so, the weight loss will come in smaller increments. So you might lose 7 or 8 lbs in the first week, but go down to 2 or 3 per week after that.

Get your food as unprocessed as you can (even foods like canned spaghetti sauce have added high fructose corn syrup, so make your own), and try to work in vegetables with every meal. The best way to do this is to plan your week’s meals at least a week in advance, and get everything you need in one weekly trip so you’ll be sure to have everything you need every day. My family has found 10 healthy entrees we all like that have mostly lean meats, vegetables, and whole grains. Those three types of food (whole grains, veggies, lean meat) are the key to happy healthy eating. My wife and I let each of our four kids pick one meal that is their favorite out of our ten, and we decide on the others. And of course, we are always looking for other meals to work in.

4. Get your sleep. 8 hours is best. 10 pm to 6 am is best because of the way your body clock functions. Many people don’t realize that a full nights sleep makes your body burn calories better.

How much boobage does a woman usually lose when she loses weight?

I heard that for every ten percent of your weight lost, you lose a cup size on average. Is that true?

Doubtful. I don’t feel like going into detail but lets just say mine didn’t do a thing.

But I think it’s pretty common if you are overweight, especially very overweight. Only because boobs tend to store fat easily.

edit : in case I confused anyone, I mean that there’s quite a bit of range in the healthy weight, so someone of normal weight or just slightly overweight can still lose weight and be normal weight. :)

Can acai berry make thin people lose weight?

Im a pretty thin guy and i take acai berry supplements morning and night for the antioxidants but lately i’ve noticed that i’ve lost weight. Antioxidants do not aid weight loss, so it’s not the berry.
People eat acai berries to address various health conditions. But so far, acai berries have no known health benefit that’s any different than that of other similar fruits.
Check the ingredients to ake sure they don’t contain any sort of laxative. Google the ingredients individually.
eg Some contain magnesium stearate which may be hydrogenated. Some conain psyllium, a bulking agent. Anybody can be allergic to any ingredient, even to the berry itself.
Why not stop taking them for a bit and see if things improve?
You could do better with a good mixed diet and if you continue to lose weight talk to your doctor.
