Can anyone share Atkins diet stories? In my second week and weight lose seems to have stopped?
Husband and I are following the diet religously, he’s already lost about 1/2 his weight. I’m getting smaller the but the scales are stubborn. How can I lose half a dress size and not show any weight loss on the scales? Help, I need encouragement. I really need to stick to this diet and make it work or I’m afraid I’m in for big health risks.
Whatever you do, don’t give up. I lost 68 lbs in about 4 months but the first week was kind of slow and I plateaued several times while on it. Try not to be in competition with your husband. Men tend to lose weight at a faster rate than women (hormones?). Just stick with it and good luck!

Well, its becoming more and more common knowledge that the scales aren’t a good indicator, just see how your clothes fit. But I also have to say, I haven’t heard good things about the Atkins diet. The only reason you’re losing weight is because your body is losing water weight since there’s no carbs in your body to hold onto water.

You might be toning up which means becomeing solid not fat as is waste weight so this is a good think…as long as your energy is good. I was not able to go with too low of carbs cause I needed them for energy so I had to add some more but make them healthy. I have never really done the diet just followed the idea when I was diagnosed with diabetes. So that is my only part of the story. I have freinds from my spiritual center who use it but might go off of it some times then go back on but the look great so if you use it for only 6 months out of a year you are still ahead of where you would be with out it….I eat a balanced diet of protein at every mean & snack but that is what works for me so see what you think of the ideas of the people I have given you a link to below.
