When you lose weight at a slower pace is more of the weight lost fat?

I have lost 12 lbs since Feb and am doing it the healthy way by eating right and exercising. I enver really had a huge weight problem to start with. I am 5′5′ and hope to get back down to 125 lbs.
My question is…when you lose weight fast is most of it water weight?

Losing weight fast is usually just in the beginning and yes it’s more water weight than anything else. It does provide a great incentive though to keep going. After that losing weight the slow way like you are doing is the best. It becomes a way of life as well and you’ll stay in good shape.

Yes, most of it is water. And if you aren’t exercising you can lose muscles too. Slow is better, plus your skin is less likely to sag.
