    These exercises are not new they are also good for your body but these are not MORE efficient or MUCH more evolved then normal workouts therefore if someone just wants to target their core muscles wouldt have to start doing it from these “new” positions and waste their time.

    Went back to the gym today, and had a free session with a personal trainer. I thought I would just do weights etc, but no I did core training, have to say it was funny and I enjoyed it, but could never really understand why is it better than traditional training. Thanks for the video!

    I do a variation of this for the abdominal external oblique. I rest on my elbow and then lift the hips off the ground. Now, if this is too dangerous for my shoulders what else would you recommend for the muscle groups running down the side of your upper body?

    You can’t be serious. Planks (and side planks) are a great gymnastics exercise. Besies, the abdominal muscles, when used in sports, are much more often used isometrically than dynamically (i.e. for stabilizing the torso, not for trunk flexion).
